Lastly before i go to Pekanbaru for my work, here is the complete list of AJAX username availability Checker. Useful for anyone who wants to make an interactive signup form or maybe for some web application like i did on my last project about data entry form via web.

While bringing back one of my websites, I had the need for a way to check to see if a username is available before the user submits the form. This provides a great user experience - as they don’t have to restart the form again after they find out their selected username is already taken!

Here is the updated username checker which uses jQuery. It also checks a CSV file for the username, which could easily be ported to a MySQL database etc. The CSV part was actually a request from members of a Google Group.
