Right, i’m using AdSense for Search from Google AdSense to replace the default search system on WordPress. With AdSense for Search you can get many advantage, for example search function with Google way (real search engine), extended search to other sites and the last one is for making money from your blog. Here is the step by step how to insert AdSense for Search for your WordPress blog.
Step 1: Create New Page
Create a new empty page called “Search Result” from admin panel on your WordPress blog. Write down the page link on the safe place.

Step 2: Confirgure AdSense for Search
Set and configure AdSense for Search to match your website.
Choose “Only sites i select”, insert your website domain and don’t forget to insert the optional keyword about your sites.

Create a custom channel for your website to keep a track of your earning from this search. Let other options default.

Choose the look of your search form here.

Choose “Open search results within my own site” and insert the url of your search result page that you created before. Don’t forget to insert the width of results area to match your website layout (my own is 550 px) and ad location on results area.

Customize the color of the search result to match your website design.

Step 3: Replace Search Form Code
Replace the default WordPress search form with a new one from Google.
Open searchform.php on your WordPress themes folder and replace it with search box code from Google.

Step 4: Insert Search Result Code
Insert search result code from Google into your Search Result page that you created before.

Step 5: Try And Done
